The restored remains of the Rüsselsheim Fortress have become the new home of the city’s municipal museum. The museum first opened in the 1970s and has now been completely rebuilt.

A new staircase leads the visitors to the upper floor where they reach the main exhibition room. A newly added rooflight supplies ample daylight.

We chose a limited number of different materials for this project. Next to the historic natural stone masonry we added an oak floor. Furthermore, we kept new structural elements in a simplistic white, while using dark gray painted steel for technical additions such as the elevator, doors and the main staircase.

孫燕姿《世說心語》MV完整版

孫燕姿每次出輯的開門曲總是會帶給大家耳目一新的新曲風，從「我要的幸福」、「綠光」­、「奔」、「完美的一天」......每每給大家不同的驚喜。「是時候」專輯首先搶聽­的單曲「世說心語」秉持了燕姿一貫求新求變的自我要求，以帶有空靈韻味的新世紀曲風為­底，加上重擊人心的低音節奏，以及帶有些許迷幻的電音音色，呈現出這首從未聽過的孫燕­姿！
更值得注意的是這首歌的歌詞，其實訴說著燕姿4年來的心路歷程。
歌詞的前半段描述當時間是填滿的，心卻是空的，「我想笑 我想愛 想奔跑 想擁抱」，唯有停住時間、放下一切，讓心自由去追尋它想要的，才能真的快樂。
後半段則是描寫在放下之後，學會了不完美的美，心跳聲再度催促自己：「有夢去追」，於­是再度起飛，隨風旋轉唱著歌；與過去不同的是，經歷過停滯的時間，去笑、去愛、去奔跑­、去擁抱，心語會告訴自己要的是什麼，這一次心是自由的，是真正快樂的。
這首歌取名為「世說心語」，正是燕姿要向世人訴說心裡的語言，將外人看似停滯的這4年­心中的體悟唱給大家聽。

在這首歌裡，燕姿特別節選了一位印度女詩人 Sarojini Naidu 的詩作"Life"，在歌曲中唸誦為背景聲音。這位女詩人與印度聖雄甘地同期，具有政­治家、女權運動者、印度的南丁格爾與印度獨立運動的自由鬥士等多重身分，是印度第一個­任國大黨主席的婦女、第一位擔任邦行政長官的偉大女性。燕姿節選的詩句大意是說：「除­非你力戰過悲傷與恐懼，承受過讓你夢想破滅的年歲，因劇烈的慾望而受傷、因衝突傾軋而­疲憊不堪，孩子啊，你不算真正的活過：這就是人生。」這段詩句有如弦外之音，增添了「­世說心語」的思考深度。
燕姿想要藉「世說心語」告訴大家：這4年，燕姿已經與自己打了一仗，過去所有人生的經­歷，都在時間裡沈澱，化成了音樂的養分，滋長出新的生命，唱出全心的歌聲。

Follow Up on Sustainable Motivation - Quoting TheBathroomGirl's "Restless"

I seldom urge people to subscribe a certain artist on Youtube. TheBathroomGirl is special. And so his her new original song, "Restless." 100% of the selling(buy it! It's just $1.5 USD) of this Single will be donated to the "Restless Beings" organization to stop street children spreading and continuing expose themselves in pornography, prostitution, child labour and human trafficking. Their first stop was in South Asia, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Watch with me, some of the kids and what they've been through in their young age and what their skinny little arm and body had been through.

Quoting TheBathroomGirl's Restless page on Youtube:

This song was written around the time of the Burma Cyclone and China's earthquake last year. I was so touched that the song poured out with my tears and I sung it at fundraising events for both tragedies.

The ongoing Gaza tragedy bought this song to life for me once more and I guess what I'm trying to say is that, if something's bothering you or making you feel restless, don't try to ignore it... Being grateful and putting your problems in perspective is a good start to being happy, but I think we need to actively help others to be truly happy.

Sustainable Motivation - Serve the People in Need

For those who've read this blog for some time, know that it's mostly about spacial design, but I want to talk about something different today. Sustainable motivation from the much deserved people in need.

You've might know that I've been struggling to find direction towards my dreams. Exciting, but not easy. I've been working for almost 6 days a week and going to school after work for 2 nights on the weekday, and 1 full day on the weekend. Today, I woke up with the tiredest feeling on the physical body, and my mind urging for more sleep. Then when arrived to the office, I came across this video introducing a man called Valentine Abe and his work in Haiti on providing, educating, and self-supporting people in Haiti to farm their own fish. What a timely rain! There are people out there, fighting for their beloved, for a good deed, and haven't give up! I'm not giving up, and more, I'm not alone.

Lets keep on walking.
